Asset Class Diversification

Asset Class Diversification is a critical component of our advisory services that entails developing custom-tailored investment models. In order to help our clients achieve their stated investment objectives, we tailor each model to the needs of our clients; using mutual funds, portfolio managers, individual equities and/or fixed income securities, including exchange traded funds (ETFs) as needed.

At SM & Co., we agree with the principle behind "asset allocation". However, it is our opinion that by arbitrarily "allocating" a client's assets across a diverse mix of investments poses a hidden threat that might not be felt until a shift occurs with fundamental economic conditions. Therefore, we have gone one step beyond what is traditionally known as "asset allocation." Our investment strategy consists of a multi-style, multi-manager and multi-asset class diversified approach to making prudent investment choices.
